Delhi: CISF nabs 24-year-old man impersonating 67-year-old, carrying forged passport at IGI airport
A 24-year-old man, Guru Sewak Singh, was arrested by the CISF at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport for impersonating a 67-year-old man while attempting to board an Air Canada flight to Canada. Singh, disguised with dyed hair and beard, was detained after security personnel found his behavior suspicious.

Singh presented a passport under the name Rashvindar Singh Sahota, claiming to be 67 years old. However, his youthful appearance raised doubts, leading to a more thorough investigation. He admitted to his true identity upon questioning and showed a digital copy of his authentic passport on his mobile phone.

"The man's appearance, voice, and skin texture seemed significantly younger than the details provided in the passport," a senior CISF officer said. "Closer observation revealed that he had dyed his hair and beard white and was wearing glasses to appear older."

The CISF handed Singh and his belongings over to the Delhi Police for further legal action. The incident highlights the vigilance of security personnel in preventing potential misuse of travel documents.
