CID Summons Suvendu over bodyguard’s death

The West Bengal CID summoned the leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari to its headquarters Bhawani Bhawan in Kolkata on Monday to record his statement over the death of his bodyguard Subhabrata Chakraborty in 2018. The CID will match his statements with others whose statements are recorded since July after Subhabrata’s wife lodged a complaint in Tamluk police station in July. A special team comprising five CID officers has been formed to quiz Adhikari in the security guard death probe.
