Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in New Delhi for the 18th BRICS Summit and is set to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Xi received a cultural welcome on arrival, marking his first visit to India in seven years since the 2019 Mamallapuram informal summit. The visit comes as China pushes deeper Global South cooperation through BRICS, while India and China continue efforts to stabilise ties after years of tensions along the Line of Actual Control.
