Centre appoints DIPAM's Tuhin Pandey as next Finance Secy

The government Saturday designated Tuhin Kanta Pandey, secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management as the new Finance Secretary.

Pandey replaces T V Somanathan who has been elevated as the cabinet secretary.

The appointments committee of the cabinet has approved Pandey’s designation as the finance secretary.

Pandey, a 1987 batch IAS officer has been helming Dipam since 2019. He spearheaded sale of Air India and listing of Life Insurance Corporation.
