The redevelopment project of the Central Vista - the power corridor of the country - envisages many new things from a new triangular Parliament building, a common Central Secretariat and the revamping of the three-km-long Rajpath from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate.

Special measures to curb pollution & resource efficiency have been taken. New Central Vista Avenue is coming up as a people friendly place with signages, walkable pathways, larger green spaces, beautiful refreshing canals, public amenities/facilities etc.

Better canal system
"Canals are being refurbished with proper lining and aerators are being provided to keep the water clean. The photographs released only reassure this," an official said.

Increasing green cover
