According to the J&K government spokesperson, the CEC will participate in a series of programmes aimed at engaging with voters, electoral stakeholders, and field-level election machinery. He will also review electoral initiatives being implemented at the grassroots level.

"I will be interacting with voters across the beautiful valleys of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly with the grassroots-level Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Budgam district, who serve as the cornerstone of the Election Commission of India (ECI)," Kumar told reporters outside Srinagar airport. On Monday morning, the CEC is scheduled to interact with voters, BLOs, and other electoral stakeholders in Budgam.
The visit is part of the ECI's continued efforts to strengthen engagement with voters and electoral stakeholders, enhance field-level preparedness, and promote greater democratic participation and voter awareness.
