CBIC appoints two new members

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of the two officers to the posts of Members after the superannuation of two members DP Nahendra Kumar and Balesh Kumar.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has appointed two new members V Rama Mathew and Alok Shukla.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of the two officers to the posts of Members after the superannuation of two members DP Nahendra Kumar and Balesh Kumar.

Alok Shukla, an IRS officer of 1988 batch will succeed DP Nagendra Kumar, who was member CBIC (GST and legal). He superannuated last month.


V Rama Mathew, an IRS officer of 1988 batch will succeed Balesh Kumar, member, (IT and Taxpayers Service) who is superannuating on August 31.

At present, Alok Shukla is the Principal Director General, Directorate General of GST Intelligence, while V Rama Mathew is the Principal Chief Commissioner, Kolkata, CGST and CX Zone.
