The Central Bureau of Investigation continued marathon interrogation of former principal of RG Kar Medical College & Hospital Sandip Ghosh for the second day on Saturday, in connection with the death of a post-graduate medical trainee who was allegedly raped and murdered.

CBI that took over the investigation questioned Ghosh on Friday for over 10 hours till midnight, and again called him Saturday morning for interrogation.

While entering the CBI office Saturday, Ghosh said: "I have not been arrested. I am being interrogated by the CBI officials. They are behaving very nicely with me."


Ghosh was still in the CBI office at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, a team of CBI officials visited RG Kar Medical College & Hospital with 3D scanner mapping machines. The CBI also sought the duty roaster on the day of the incident. The central agency had questioned two members of the Kolkata Police team which had probed the case and four doctors from the hospital, people in the know said. A special 12-member team of the CBI is investigating the case.

In another development related to the case, a team of psychological experts of CFSL has reached Kolkata to perform tests on the accused.
