CBI submits closure report in Mumbai Court in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case: Sources
Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in the two cases it was investigating in the alleged suicide case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, sources said on Saturday.

Rajput, 34, was found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020.

One FIR was filed by KK Singh, father of the deceased actor, against Singh's then girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The second FIR was filed by Chakraborty against Singh's family members. Both the cases were transferred to the CBI, which had formed a SIT to probe the death

Sources added that the investigation did not find any evidence to indicate that Singh was murdered. "No evidence was found to substantiate the claims made by KK Singh that his son was killed. Hence, a closure report has been submitted. The report entails the findings of the forensic teams, which indicate that it wasn't murder," said a senior official privy to the investigation.

In August 2020, the agency had booked Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, common friend Samuel Miranda, and three others for the actor's death.
