The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) arrested Kalyanmoy Ganguly, former president of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education on Thursday evening in connection with West Bengal School Service Commission scam.
Ganguly was the president of the Board of Secondary Education for ten years.

Ganguly was summoned to the CBI office today and interrogated him for several hours, following which he was arrested.


He was named in the Justice Bag Committee report in connection with the WBSSC scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigations has arrested Shanti Prasad Sinha and Ashok Kumar Saha, a former adviser and charman, respectively, of the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) board, in connection with an alleged recruitment scam last month. These are the first arrests made by the central agency in the high court-monitored investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee and his close aide Arpita Mukherjee in connection with the WBSSC scam.
