Cambodia Vishnu idol row: Thailand calls it ‘decorative structure’ after backlash from India
Thailand has defended the removal of a Lord Vishnu statue near its disputed border with Cambodia, calling it a “decorative structure” removed for security and area control, not religious reasons. The clarification came after strong criticism from India and Cambodia.
