Calcutta High Court judge appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court

Justice T. S. Sivagnanam, the senior most judge of the Calcutta High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court. He is currently serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.

Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, taking to his social media handle, conveyed his heartiest congratulations to Justice T. S. Sivagnanam, on his appointment as the new Chief Justice of Calcutta High court.

Meanwhile, following the directions of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Sivagnanam has reassigned the two primary school recruitment irregularities cases, previously heard by Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay, to the bench of Justice Amrita Sinha.
