Cabinet nod to Arunachal hydro projects, Jaipur metro

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved investments totalling ₹40,150 crore for the construction of two major hydropower projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

It approved the Jaipur Metro Project Phase-2, a 41-km corridor comprising 36 stations, at a total project cost of over ₹13,000 crore.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs also okayed a sharp increase in the cost of the Rajasthan oil refinery project to ₹79,459 crore, alongside additional equity support from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL). -
