The 2024 Budget is the first during Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's third term in office.Sitharaman highlighted India's ongoing economic growth, even as the global economy grapples with policy uncertainty. She emphasised that the people of India have reinforced their faith in the Modi-led government by re-electing it for a third term.
"India's economic growth continues to shine while the global economy is still in the grip of policy uncertainty," Sitharaman stated during her presentation in the Lok Sabha.
