Chandigarh: The Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) will conduct a high-calibre bomb trial at its Ramgarh test range in Haryana's Panchkula district on Sunday, officials said.

The trial is scheduled to take place between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm.

In view of the exercise, residents of Bhanu and Billa villages in Panchkula district have been advised to remain indoors during the specified period.

According to officials, bomb fragments may rise to an altitude of around 1.5 km and spread within a horizontal radius of up to 2 km from the point of detonation. A safety zone extending 2 km from the blast site is required for the safe conduct of the trial.

As Bhanu and Billa villages fall within the splinter danger zone, the Panchkula district administration has asked residents to stay indoors during the trial period.
