The postmortem of the victim has been completed and all formalities from the J-K administration have been completed to facilitate the return of the decease, Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh told ANI on Wednesday.

"We are in contact with the administration there and the family, too. The post-mortem of the body and other formalities have been completed. In some time, the bodies will be coming to Delhi, and after that, the body will come here (Chhattisgarh)," Singh told ANI.

He added that arrangements have been made for the family of the deceased to return in the same flight to join their relatives as soon as possible.

"When we get the updated schedule from there, we will have a clear picture of it...The arrangements we have made for now, the family will come on the same flight, but it will be confirmed soon, because they will see the security situation first," the Collector said.

"The orders of the Chief Minister are to ensure that the family gets all possible support. We are also going to ensure that the four people face no difficulty as they come here and their work is done properly," he added.

Earlier, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai had said that a person from the state, identified as Dinesh Miraniya, was killed in the terror attack.

Meanwhile, the coffins carrying the victims of the terror attack were brought to the Srinagar airport. Several state government representatives arrived in Srinagar to facilitate the return home of victims and tourists from their respective states.

This is one of the biggest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

Following the terror attack, security forces have launched search operations on Wednesday to track down the terrorists responsible. Security has been heightened since the attack, with visuals from the area showing the streets deserted in the usually bustling tourist area.
