BJP's mega allegation on Congress & Oppn: ‘ECI being defamed to catapult Rahul Gandhi to power’

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra launched a sharp attack on Congress and the Opposition amid the ongoing row over the Election Commission, SIR and voter registration Form 6. Patra alleged that the Opposition was targeting constitutional institutions to create “anarchy” and “launch and relaunch Rahul Gandhi” politically. He also rejected Rahul Gandhi’s claims over Form 6 and alleged differences within the Election Commission, citing the ECI’s clarification that the Bihar SIR order was approved unanimously. The Opposition has raised concerns over the ECI’s functioning and electoral-roll revision process.
