BJP blasts Congress for ‘anti-national’ act amid Bangladesh map row; claims support for infiltrators
BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala accused the Congress party of ‘admiring Bangladesh’ and supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators. He cited a recent incident where a Congress leader was seen singing Bangladesh’s national anthem, ‘Amar Sonar Bangla’, calling it a serious act in light of Bangladesh releasing a map claiming India’s Northeast, including Assam. Poonawala also criticized Congress for facilitating settlement of crores of infiltrators during the UPA era, calling the act a threat to India’s sovereignty.
