The Binsar forest sanctuary, located near Almora, is a renowned destination known for its lush green landscapes and diverse wildlife. A recent proposal by the forest department could soon add even more excitement for tourists, as they aim to introduce jungle safari and bike riding options, similar to those found at the Corbett Tiger Reserve.

Currently, visitors to the Binsar sanctuary explore the area solely on foot. However, this could change as the forest department expects the government to approve their 12 crore rupee initiative within the next three months.

In a TOI report, Deepak Singh, the divisional forest officer, shared his excitement about these upcoming developments. He said, "For the first time, a safari has been proposed in Binsar sanctuary. Bike riding will start in Kasardevi Eco Park. After the implementation of both schemes, the tourism activities here will gain momentum."

Every year, thousands of tourists, both from India and abroad, visit the sanctuary. Currently, the sanctuary is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including deer, leopards, chital, monal, musk deer, bears, and wild boars. These new additions are expected to make the sanctuary an even more attractive destination, offering tourists thrilling experiences and the opportunity to immerse themselves in the sanctuary's natural beauty and diverse wildlife.
