Bihar couple begs to pay Rs 50,000 'bribe' to get their son's body released from hospital
The couple, from Bihar's Samastipur district, is out on the street seeking money to 'pay off' a hospital employee to get the body released from Sadar hospital.
Mahesh Thakur and his wife were 'told' they will have to pay Rs 50,000. Their son went missing some time ago.
“A hospital employee has asked for Rs. 50,000 to release my son’s body. We’re poor people, how can we pay this amount?” Thakur told news agency ANI which published the video.
