Earlier on January 4, the Bihar Government imposed fresh curbs by implementing a statewide night curfew from 10 pm to 5am from January 6th to 21st.
"Pre-school and 1 to 8 classes to remain close, online classes will continue. Educational institutions of classes 9-12 will function on 50 per cent capacity. Restrictions are to remain in effect from January 6 to 21," as per an order by the State Government.
"On the advice of doctors, he has isolated himself at his residence," his office said.

A total of 1,59,632 new coronavirus infections were reported on Sunday, according to Union Health Ministry data, the highest in 224 days. Active cases increased to 5,90,611, the highest in around 197 days.
Meanwhile, Bihar had 5,022 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday.
