Bhupender Yadav holds key green meets amid aides row
New Delhi: Even as the environment ministry battles a controversy over the ouster of four key aides to Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, the minister on Thursday chaired a series of high-level meetings, taking key decisions on issues ranging from tiger and Great Indian Bustard conservation to clearing several projects.

Yadav chaired the meetings of the National Tiger Conservation Authority, the National Board of Wild Life, Coastal Zone Authority and the Wildlife Institute of India.

Key decisions included launching the 6th Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) cycle for all tiger reserves and releasing two national frameworks. The first, Roadmap to Rescue, establishes a blueprint for building transit facilities dedicated to the rescue, rehab, and safe release of displaced wildlife . The second report, STRIDES 2026, assesses infra, ecological health and social parameters across tiger reserves.
