The government of India launched CoWin as the nodal covid vaccination platform. Meanwhile, to take advantage of the chaos, miscreants are launching fake CoWin websites to dupe people. Delhi Police has recently warned people of such a website with the url: https://app.preprod.co-vin.in/login.

You must also avoid website with the URL “https://selfregistration.preprod.co-vin.in”, which is a fake covid vaccination registration website. Another with this URL -- https://selfregistration.sit.co-vin.in, is also a fake one and must be avoided.

Not only websites, there are plenty of fake mobile applications such as this Vaci__Regis.apk, which try to dupe people in the name of Covid vaccination. Another such app with the apk, MyVaccin_v2.apk, has also been identified as a fake one. In general, you must avoid downloading and installing apps on your smartphone; it's always much safer to download apps which are available only on official app stores such as Google Play store.

Not only these above websites and apps, one should avoid all such platforms that promise Covid vaccines. Another such website with url http://tiny.cc/COVID-VACCINE has been flagged. An apk - Vccin-Apply.apk - has also been identified as malicious that is spreading through SMS.

Stick to CoWin
CoWin has been launched by the Government of India for Covid vaccination programme. And unless the govt comes out with another one, it is advisable to stick to this platform only for your vaccination needs, else you might be a victim of cyber crime.
