Bengaluru techie suicide: Atul Subhash's estranged wife Nikita Singhania, in-laws arrested

Bengaluru Police made significant progress in the abetment to suicide case of Atul Subhash, a tech professional, by arresting his wife and her family members on Sunday. Nikita Singhania, the wife of the late techie, was arrested in Gurgoan, Haryana, while her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, were taken into custody in Prayagraj.


According to Shivakumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for White Field Division, the three were brought before the court and subsequently sent to judicial custody. Authorities are now actively investigating the circumstances leading up to Subhash's tragic death.


Police have revealed that the role of Sushil Singhania, a relative of Nikita, is still under investigation, and efforts are being made to locate him. Nikita has been named as accused No. 1 in the case, while her mother Nisha is accused No. 2, and her brother Anurag is accused No. 3.

To gather evidence, police have engaged forensic science laboratory (FSL) experts and the cybercrime team to examine Subhash Atul's death note, video, and electronic devices.

Anticipatory Bail Applications Filed

Following a police summons issued on Friday requiring Nikita to appear within three days, she, along with her mother, brother, and uncle Sushil Singhania, had previously applied for anticipatory bail from the Allahabad High Court.

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old software engineer, died by suicide on Monday in Bengaluru, reportedly due to harassment from his estranged wife and her family members. A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against Nikita and her relatives.
