In a shocking murder case in Bengaluru, a suicide note has been recovered from the accused, Mukthirajan Roy, who allegedly killed his colleague, Mahalaxmi, and dismembered her body into 59 pieces. The note, written in his diary, detailed the reasons behind the crime and his emotional state. The accused took his own life shortly after the murder, leaving behind disturbing details about the incident.

Confession in the Diary

According to police, Roy's suicide note revealed that he killed 26-year-old Mahalaxmi on September 3. "I have killed my lover Mahalaxmi on Sept 3," the note stated. He described how tensions escalated after a personal argument. “I was fed up with her conduct. I fought with her over personal matters and Mahalaxmi assaulted me. Enraged by her act, I killed her,” Roy confessed in his diary. After committing the crime, he reportedly dismembered her body and stored the parts in a fridge.

Accused's Escape and Suicide

Following the murder, Roy fled Bengaluru and was tracked to his hometown in Bhadrak district, Odisha. Police said they found his body hanging from a tree in a nearby village after he had disappeared from his residence. Locals discovered his body and alerted authorities. Karnataka police had sent multiple teams to Odisha in search of Roy, who had been missing from work since September 1.

The crime came to light when Mahalaxmi’s neighbors reported a foul smell from her apartment. Her family discovered the horrifying scene when they visited her home on Saturday. Police found her dismembered body in a fridge, and a suitcase was placed nearby. Initial investigations suggested she had been murdered around the beginning of the month, with her body cut by a sharp-edged weapon.

Victim’s Background

Mahalaxmi, originally from Tripura, had been working at a mall in Bengaluru. She lived alone in the city for five months, though her brother had stayed with her briefly. Police investigations also revealed that she was married and had a child but was living separately from her family.
