A 29-year-old web designer was allegedly molested twice by the same man late at night while she was attempting to help an injured stray dog near Jakkur Double Road on September 7, reported TOI. The incident occurred around 11.50 pm and has since led to the registration of a police case.

The accused, identified as Manjunath, an unemployed engineering graduate in his 30s and a resident of Hennur, initially fell from his scooter while being chased by witnesses but managed to escape.

According to TOI, e was later traced by police to a rented apartment near Bagalur, where he was found to be recovering from rib injuries sustained during the fall.

Sequence of events

The complainant, a Hebbal resident, was travelling with a friend towards Bharatiya City when they noticed a stray dog lying injured on the road.

After stopping to assist, she carried the dog across to the pavement. At that point, Manjunath allegedly approached on a scooter and molested her before fleeing, the TOI report noted.

After placing the dog safely and washing their hands at a nearby fuel station, the complainant and her friend returned to their vehicle. The same man reportedly returned and repeated the act.
