Bengaluru man held for allegedly trying to drive SUV into NSA Ajit Doval's residence

The incident happened around 7:30 am when the man tried to drive a red-coloured SUV through the high-security gate of the residence of Ajit Doval in Delhi, the officials said.

A man hailing from Bengaluru was apprehended for allegedly trying to enter the residence of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday, triggering a security alarm, officials said. Doval was present at the residence when the incident took place.

The incident happened around 7:30 am when the man tried to drive a red-coloured SUV through the high-security gate of the residence of Ajit Doval in Delhi, the officials said.

The SUV was intercepted and the man nabbed by the CISF personnel guarding the NSA's house, they said. The NSA is secured under the top Z+ category of CISF commandos. The man was later handed over to the police.


He has been identified as Shantanu Reddy from Bengaluru and looks to be mentally unstable.

The car was hired from Noida, the officials added.
