An FIR was registered under IPC sections 379 (theft) and 506 (criminal intimidation), leading to the arrest of the accused, Amarveer Singh.
According to the TOI report, Additional Civil Judge Yagyesh Kumar Sonkar found Amarveer guilty and delivered the sentence on Tuesday. Usman expressed relief, saying, "Justice has finally been served after nine years. I had lost all hope but continued to pursue the case. This decision has restored my faith in the judiciary."
Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar remarked, "Theft is theft, even if it involves something as small as a bee. A thief robs the farmer of their livelihood, and such crimes deserve severe punishment."
The judgment was part of Operation Conviction, an initiative by the UP Police to expedite the conviction process in serious cases, including crimes like rape, murder, cow slaughter, and those under the Pocso Act, noted TOI.
