Be a good host, leave your cars, use buses to reach G20 venue: PM Narendra Modi to minister
Narendra Modi has instructed his council of ministers to use buses instead of car convoys to reach the official G20 dinner in Bharat Mandapam. The move aims to enhance the hosting experience for foreign dignitaries and ensure a streamlined arrival...

According to one minister, the plan entails ministers assembling at the Parliament complex and subsequently boarding buses to reach the venue, ensuring a streamlined and efficient arrival process. The decision to use buses stems from the need to swiftly transition from the summit to the dinner, with only a brief window of approximately 1-1.5 hours available. Using buses, instead of individual ministerial convoys, is expected to facilitate this transition.
This directive comes in response to concerns about the behavior of some security personnel who have occasionally resorted to shortcuts, bypassing designated routes for ministers' convoys.
Moreover, it has been learned that the ministers have been urged to download the G20 app, a tool that can provide precise translations when engaging in conversations with foreign guests during the dining event. In fact, several ministers have already downloaded the app and tested its capabilities in translating the official languages of member nations.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of being gracious hosts and ensuring the comfort of foreign guests. He also directed all ministers to remain in Delhi throughout the summit, reinforcing the commitment to a seamless and successful G20 gathering.
