Adhikari met the girl's parents at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Baruipur police district and assured them that strict action would be taken against those responsible culprits. Senior police officers were also present during the meeting.
On Monday, Adhikari had said that the accused would face capital punishment.

He also expressed that the victim's family had reposed trust in the government.
The body of the girl, who had been missing for a day, was found in the Surjyapur Haat area on Sunday, triggering protests by local residents. Protesters blocked the Baruipur-Joynagar Road, set tyres on fire and damaged a few police vehicles while demanding the arrest of those responsible.
Hours after the girl's body was recovered on Sunday, a man was beaten to death by an angry mob on suspicion of involvement in the girl's death.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the crime, and the state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident.
