Banke Bihari Temple treasury opens after 54 years on Dhanteras; high court committee monitors
In a historic event, the treasury of Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari Temple was opened after 54 years on Dhanteras 2025. The reopening was carried out following a Supreme Court order and facilitated by a High-court Committee. Mathura CO Sandeep Singh confirmed that the process was videographed and security measures were strictly enforced. Only authorized members, including judicial and administrative officers and four nominated Goswamis, were allowed entry.
