The federal agency on Thursday said it has attached the 525 A CJ 2+ aircraft valued at Rs 30.91 crore from Bhushan Airways Services Pvt Ltd, owned and controlled by Singal.
Earlier, ED had attached various immovable and movable assets valued at Rs 4,423.36 crore - including residential and commercial properties in London, Mumbai and Delhi. Total attachments in connection with this case so far is valued at approx Rs 4,454.27 crore.
ED had initiated the money laundering investigation based on an FIR registered by the CBI in April 2019.
ED on Thursday said its probe has revealed that Singal generated alleged proceeds of crime by siphoning of loan funds from BPSL and layering them through various entities under his control. Such proceeds of crime were used to acquire the said Cessna aircraft and to repay bank loan taken for acquiring the aircraft, it alleged.
