In 1947, after India and Pakistan got separated. Premji's father Muhammad Hashim Premji got an invitation from Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan , to shift to the country (Pakistan). Premji's father denied and chose to remain in India.

College dropout at 21
Premji was pursuing a degree in engineering at Stanford University when he had to dropout of the college after his father, Muhammad Hashim Premji, passed away. He returned to India and took over the family business. He, later on, completed his education after more than 30 years.

Despite being one of the richests in country, Premji has not shown interest in Luxurious. The business magnate prefers economy class travel.
