Assam: ULFA-I declares death sentence for one member

Proscribed militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) declared that a cadre of the outfit was awarded the death sentence for allegedly trying to flee from one of its camps.

The cadre has been identified as Rihan Asom alias Mohammad Saiful Islam. The cadre is from Lakhipur village in the Goalpara district.

In May this year the outfit had executed two persons alleging to be moles of Assam police and army in their camp.
