Police said that Ritesh Kumar Singh (39), originally from Begusarai, Bihar, was picked up for interrogation from a rented house in Satgaon, Guwahati, and was subsequently arrested for allegedly assisting the prime accused, Abhishek Kumar Singh, who was arrested on Sunday in connection with the case.

Police stated that a preliminary investigation has revealed Ritesh Kumar Singh’s alleged involvement in espionage-related activities, including passing secret information concerning security forces to the Pakistan Intelligence Operative (PIO). Further investigation is underway.
Abhishek Kumar Singh (31), originally a resident of Purba Champaran, Bihar, had rented a house at Gandhinagar under Satgaon Police Station, Guwahati.
During the operation, a mobile phone, SIM cards and incriminating documents were recovered and seized from his possession.
