Assam State Agricultural Marketing Board starts its journey as state's only wholesaler of Urea fertiliser

For the benefit of farmers, Assam State Agricultural Marketing Board (ASAMB) has started its journey as the only wholesaler of Urea fertiliser in Assam.

Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Monday inaugurated this milestone journey for ASAMB.

The Minister, while addressing the media, said that 18 Mmetric tonnes of urea was procured from Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation and was arranged for sale in Darrang, Kamrup and Kamrup (M) districts.


SAMB will arrange sale of this fertiliser in every district of Assam in a phased manner and farmers will be able to get urea at a price fixed by the government, he added.
