Assam health ministry looks into bringing in oxygen from Bhutan plant

Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that junior health minister Pijush Hazarika is sent to Bhutan to explore possibility of tie up as a 50 metric tonnes (MT) oxygen producing plant is coming up in the neighboring country.

"Hazarika will explore the possibility of tie up for a 50 MT plant is coming up in Bhutan, if required we can participate in plant and make advance payment for procuring oxygen", said Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sarma while talking to media persons said, "Hazarika will explore the possibility of tie up for a 50 MT plant is coming up in Bhutan, if required we can participate in plant and make advance payment for procuring oxygen. "

Sarma visited the Sun Pharma's facility in Vicinity of Guwahati. He tweeted, "In what shall give comfort to all, pleased to share that I visited @SunPharma_Live plant Palasbari, which has a capacity of 80K #Remdesivir vials production per week. Requested them to speed up production & rollout. They would support Assam as well".
