Assam govt to set up mega industrial park in Morigaon

To give boost to the industrialisation efforts in the State, Assam Cabinet has approved allotment of 569 bigha in Morigaon Revenue Circle to Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Department for setting up of a Mega Industrial Park.

The government stated to establish Assam as a preferred investment destination in the Renewable Energy (RE) Sector, Cabinet has approved the draft Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2025 to promote Solar, wind, Mini and small hydro projects, Pumped storage projects, Battery energy storage systems, Green Hydrogen, biofuel, EV systems etc. which will provide various incentives to industries setting bases in Assam.

The cabinet has concurred with APDCL Board's decision for issuing of Letter of Acceptance by APDCL to the successful bidders for a 250 MW Solar Plant and for Solar Park Common Infrastructure under "Mukhya Mantri Sauro Shakti Prokolpo


Assam cabinet has decided has approved the notification of Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park located in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts spread over an area of 316.29 sq.km to protect the rich biodiversity of the area.

Cabinet has approved setting up of a private university named Swami Vivekananda University in Chirang district, BTR.
