Assam govt to hold consultation with business community over GST notices
Assam government to hold regional consultations to address business community's GST notice fears. Cabinet approves SOP for aiding youth clubs in each Legislative Assembly Constituency with Rs 15 lakh fund, focusing on infrastructure development.

Assam Cabinet has requested Ministers Ajanta Neog and Ashok Singhal to hold six Regional Consultations. The consultations will be held in Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Guwahati, Tezpur and Silchar anda report will be submitted within one month.
To encourage upcoming sporting talent and to carry forward the success of the Khel Maharan movement, Cabinet has accorded approval to an SOP for providing assistance to one Youth Club/Sports Association in each of the 126
Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs).
Each Youth Club/Sports Association will be provided with Rs 15 lakh of which Rs 75 lakh will be earmarked for development of Infrastructure/ electrification (to be used as a flexipool) in the case of standalone Youth clubs which do not have
requisite infrastructure of their own. Youth Clubs/Sports Association will be selected by the District Committees as
per the guidelines to be issued by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.

The need for reorganising and delimitation arose after the delimitation of LACS under which the existing jurisdiction of Development Blocks fell in more than one LAC, no longer reflects the State's evolving growth needs
