He added, “There are another Rs 7000 to 8000 Crore investment proposals in the pipeline. Investors are touring Upper and Lower Assam scanning the places for investment projects.”
Assam government will ink MOU for investment worth Rs 8,000 crore. The investment will be in the cement and food and beverages sector.

Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said, “On Tuesday companies will come and ink the MOU. PepsiCo will set potato chips units, three cement companies will set units. An EV car manufacturer will also set up a unit. On Tuesday we will ink an investment worth Rs 8000 Crore.”

He added, “There are another Rs 7000 to 8000 Crore investment proposals in the pipeline. Investors are touring Upper and Lower Assam scanning the places for investment projects.”


Sarma said, “As I was in Karnataka recently several investors met me and evinced interest in setting up units here. Even a team from Tata group is visiting the closed Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC).
