Assam: CM Himanta taps ‘Nari Shakti’, distributes MMUA seed funds ahead of 2026 elections
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed seed funds under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan (MMUA) on Sankranti eve, empowering over 53,000 women beneficiaries, largely from the Barak Valley. Massive participation at the event is being seen as a confidence booster for the ruling dispensation as Assam moves closer to the 2026 Assembly elections.
