Sarma tweeted, "In the unfortunate incident of 26 July, 21, we lost 6 precious lives. These brave hearts were also loving fathers, sons, brothers, husbands to many. Assam’s heart bleeds for them. Many remain injured. We pray for their early recovery."
He in another tweet stated, "We must, however, move on, on the path of peace and progress. While we stand committed to protect the constitutional boundaries, I would appeal to our people to allow movement of goods to Mizoram.@ZoramthangaCM @AmitShah."
Assam government on Thursday had withdraw the travel advisory asking people not to visit Mizoram.
Mizoram chief Secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo told mediapersons that no vehicle has made its way to the state from Assam.
Mizoram had earlier stated following the clashes railways tracks linked to the state were damaged.
The stated earlier sought intervention of Centre. Truckers have shown unwillingness to ply in the highway citing security concerns.
Assam and Mizoram on Thursday both the State Governments agreed to maintain peace in the inter-State border areas,the neighbours agreed not send their respective Forest and Police forces for patrolling, domination, enforcement or for fresh deployment to any of the areas where confrontation and conflict has taken place between the Police forces of the two States during recent times.
