Ashwini Vaishnaw shares video of 130-metre steel bridge launched for bullet train in Gujarat
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project achieved a major engineering milestone in Gujarat’s Bharuch district with the launch of a massive steel bridge near Tralsi village. National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited completed 230 metres of the planned 330-metre structure over active freight railway tracks on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. Officials said the newly launched 130-metre steel span weighs nearly 2,900 metric tonnes and forms part of one of India’s most complex high-speed rail infrastructure projects. The bullet train corridor plans 28 steel bridges overall, with 14 of Gujarat’s 17 planned steel bridges already completed.
