As Ram Lalla comes to life, Ayodhya ain't the same anymore: Town's new avatar is beyond recognition
Ayodhya's transformation is not just a physical one but a testament to the resilience, unity, and celebratory spirit of Ayodhya's people. As it takes its place on must-visit lists, Ayodhya stands not only as a symbol of religious significance but ...

Jets & Diyas: Temple town takes flight
As over 100 private jets landed and IAF choppers showered rose petals, Ayodhya was draped in splendour. The 560-metre-long Janmabhoomi Path, adorned with flower arrangements, led the way to the temple complex. Sixty stages along a 10-km stretch featured artists from various Indian musical traditions, contributing to the celebratory atmosphere.

Residents behind Ayodhya's dazzle
The town's people played a pivotal role in the festivities. From offering flowers and holding aartis to distributing sweets, they embraced the historic moment. As dusk fell, Ayodhya illuminated with tens of thousands of diyas, creating a breathtaking sight along the banks of the Sarayu.

Accessible to public
As the VIP rush concluded, Ayodhya's locals planned their own celebrations for the days to come. Shops are set to reopen, and the temple's perimeter, under tight security during the ceremony, will become accessible to the public. Residents have organised cycle rallies, monkey-feeding events in homage to the Ramayan's vanar sena, and musical gatherings near the main shrine. Temples will offer free food and accommodation for visitors, anticipating a surge in pilgrims over the weeks ahead.
