Arvind Kejriwal to be prosecuted by CBI in Delhi excise policy case
The CBI has obtained the necessary sanction to prosecute Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Excise policy case, without any relief, and has filed a supplementary charge sheet against the AAP supremo, which will be considered by the Rouse Avenue court.

The CBI has also filed a supplementary charge sheet against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo which will be considered by the Rouse Avenue court on August 27.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on June 26 by the CBI after he was granted bail in ED's case on July 12 and has been in judicial custody since June 27.
Meanwhile, earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of Kejriwal's pleas challenging his arrest and seeking bail in the case registered by the CBI after the it sought time to file a counter affidavit in the matter.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan granted one-week further time to the central agency to file a reply.
Earlier, dismissing Kejriwal's plea on August 5, the Delhi High Court had ruled that it cannot be said that the arrest of Kejriwal by CBI was without justifiable reason. However, the court granted the Delhi chief minister the liberty to approach the trial court for appropriate relief and bail.
