J&K security: Army foils infiltration attempt along LoC in Poonch, one intruder neutralised
Srinagar: The Army on Tuesday said it foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, killing one intruder. In a post on X, the Indian Army's White Knight Corps said suspicious movement was detected around 300 metres inside the territory in the Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC at around 4 pm during persistent surveillance.

"Alert troops swiftly responded and foiled the infiltration attempt, ensuring there was no breach of the LoC. One intruder has been neutralised," it said. The Army said troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high level of operational readiness across the sector.

Officials said the infiltrator was part of a Lashkar-e-Taiba group attempting to cross the border when troops intercepted the movement.
