Anti-Afspa rally in Kohima on January 10

After the rally, the organisers are planning to submit a memorandum to governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi. Kevitho Kera, one of the organisers, said the march will be held in Kohima.

A section of the people in Nagaland have joined hands to organise a protest march on January 10 against the Centre's decision to extend the Armed Forces Special Powers Act in the state. After the rally, the organisers are planning to submit a memorandum to governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi. Kevitho Kera, one of the organisers, said the march will be held in Kohima. In a notification, the Union home ministry had said "...whole of... Nagaland is in such a disturbed and dangerous condition that the use of armed forces in aid of the civil power is necessary."
