Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that the state is set to establish an Innovation Hub named the "Ratan Tata Innovation Hub" in Amaravati, honoring the legacy of Ratan Tata. In a post on X, Naidu noted that the hub's purpose would be to foster innovation, create entrepreneurial ecosystems, and mentor startups in the region.

The initiative aims to link the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub with five other zonal centres, each of which is supported by a prominent business group.

"To commemorate the profound legacy of Mr. Ratan Tata, we have decided to establish an Innovation Hub titled 'Ratan Tata Innovation Hub' at Amaravati. This hub will foster innovation, entrepreneurship ecosystem and mentor startups. This hub will be linked to five other zonal centres, each mentored and fostered by reputed business groups, and facilitate technology and skill upgradation in emerging sectors," his post on the social media platform read.



The business tycoon as well as philanthropist died in Mumbai on October 9 due to age-related issues, leaving the world in mourning. Tata received full state honours at his funeral as announced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The TDP supremo was one of the firsts to pay tribute to the former Tata Chairman.

"Few men have left such an enduring imprint on this world with their vision and integrity as Ratan Tata. Today, we have lost not just a business titan, but a true humanitarian whose legacy goes beyond industrial landscape to live in every heart he touched. As I mourn his passing today, I also reflect on his remarkable contributions to industry, philanthropy, and nation-building that will forever inspire generations. A life well-lived. An iconic legacy to cherish. Rest in peace, my friend. You'll be missed. Deepest condolences to his loved ones and the Tata Group," he wrote in a post on X.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also announced on Monday that the State Skills Development University will be renamed the "Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills Development University." This decision pays tribute to Ratan Tata, a revered industrialist and philanthropist known for his commitment to social causes, education, and skill development in India.
