Andhra Pradesh: Jallikattu fervour continues, celebrated in Chittoor's Rangampeta
As part of the Makar Sankranti festival celebration, a large number of people participated in the Jallikattu competition organised in Rangampeta Mandal of Chittoor district on January 16. Jallikattu is a bull-taming sport that was first played around 400–100 BC. Every year during Pongal, the Jallikattu competition is conducted in many villages of southern India.
