In an unfortunate incident, a 47-year-old man collapsed and tragically lost his life on Sunday at the domestic terminal of Chennai airport. As per a TOI report, the man, identified as Solomon Martin Luther, had just deboarded the flight from Mumbai and was walking along the aerobridge when he suddenly collapsed. Luther, an electrical engineer employed in South Africa, was en route to his hometown of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh.

Having journeyed from South Africa to Mumbai, Luther then took a connecting flight to Chennai. He had been working at a private firm for the past year.

Airport authorities promptly alerted the medical team on duty with the help of fellow passengers. Despite the efforts to administer CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Luther did not respond, and his condition deteriorated rapidly. He was transferred to the airport's emergency medical center, where doctors declared him deceased.

The initial assessment leans towards the possibility that Luther may have succumbed to cardiac-related issues. Following the tragic incident, Luther's body was handed over to the airport police, who transferred it to Chromepet General Hospital for postmortem examination to ascertain the precise cause of death.

Enquiries made with the airline staff shed light on the fact that Luther exhibited no signs of discomfort throughout his journey. There were no indications of uneasiness or health concerns reported by him during the flight.

Authorities have already reached out to Luther's family members to inform them of the unfortunate incident. It was revealed that Luther had made arrangements for a taxi to transport him to his hometown of Chittoor, where he was looking to spend holidays with his family. In light of the incident, authorities are investigating whether Luther had a history of heart ailments that might provide insight into the sudden tragedy.
